Fitness is not only important for your mind and the inside of your body, but also for your skin. I try to use products that are natural or as natural as I can. I use products that help to fight off the effects of all of the free radicals our bodies come into contact with every day due to the foods we eat, our environments, and our activities. I have come across some wonderful skin care products I’d like to share with you.

Mineral Based Makeup: First I’d like to talk about the mineral based makeups. I use Bare Escentuals and I love them. They are not only good for your skin, but they give you a natural look. It is easy to apply and comes in different shades so you can pick which shade blends best with your skin tone. I also use what is called Mineral Veil. It is wonderful.  It is also a powder form that you brush on after applying your make up and gives you a finished, natural look. Another product from Bare Escentuals I use is called Warmth. It is a blush type powder and give your face a sun kissed look. I also put a little on my forehead and neck. It is amazing how Warmth works for everyone.  I know there are many other very good mineral based makeups on the market today, but this is the one that I personally use.

Hollywood Glo: I have a secret beauty tip. I use this special liquid makeup between my eye and eyebrow that makes my eyes just POP. It is called Hollywood Glo. It is a facial finisher and you can use it over your make up or alone.  It has just a hint of shimmer in it so it kind of highlights the area you use it on. I have somewhat squinty eyes and when I use Hollywood Glo, my eyes look bigger. It
is almost as if they are lifted or opened up. You can also use it other places on your face and body. Hollywood Glo also comes in a Body Lustre. I use this mainly in the summer when I have a tan. It too has a bit of shimmer and really compliments your tan. I use it on my upper chest and it looks nice when I wear a tank top or v-neck shirt.

For cleansing, I use mainly philosophy products. They work well with my skin. I use philosophy purity for general cleansing. It deep cleans pores, eliminates build up, hydrates and contains natural oil extracts. It is easy to use and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth when I am done. For a deeper facial clean, I use philosophy Microdelivery peel. It’s easy and only takes a few minutes to do. It works well with the rest of the line and has done very well with my skin. These products are easy to use and leave my skin looking and feeling healthy and renewed.

For moisturizing my face, I use the Hope line of products from philosophy. I use Hope in a Jar, When Hope is not enough, and Hope in a tube. And some days believe me, I feel as though hope is not enough. Just kidding. For moisturizing my body, I use amazing grace. My favorite is the amazing grace body soufflé. It has a wonderful aroma to it. I also use the firming body emulsion. Both of these products not only smell good, but help to firm, tone and moisturize your skin. They also contain antioxidants for smoother, younger looking skin.
